During the long, dark nights of Alaska winters, it can take a lot of effort to stay positive. Once a week, I try to make time for a little oil pastel sketch time. I call these my "One Hour Distractions." I use this time to think warm, positive thoughts and I try to channel those feelings onto paper. I try not to have anything too specific in mind. I like to see what bubbles up from my subconscious thoughts and feelings. I didn't intend to offer this one as a print, but when I posted a picture online, it received so much positive feedback I decided to share it here. I hope it makes you feel warm and fuzzy :)
